COVID-19 has imposed many learning challenges for teachers, families, and students, and language access has become more urgent than ever. Since March 2020, a group of UR Spanish students from the course LAIS 301 Spanish in the Community has been creating bilingual videos for children learning at home. These videos have been used by teachers and families to keep students engaged in learning through these difficult times. Leah Kulma, Olivia Vandervelden, and Lindsey Barnard will continue creating more videos accessible through the Español en la Communidad Español en la Communidad YouTube channel.
